Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool has been serving St. John’s for 13 years. Mes Amis came under new ownership in 2009 with Lise Mulrooney. Always loving to work with kids, Lise has worked at the daycare since 2005. She and her team bring a combined experience of over 25 years in the childcare industry. Located in St. John’s, Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool frequently gives back to the surrounding community, donating to Ronald McDonald House and Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre.
Meet our Mes Amis team:
Lise Mulrooney
Lise has her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta with a major in Primary/Elementary and a minor in Special Education, as well as her Level 3 ECE through the Association of Early Childhood Educators in Newfoundland & Labrador. She has been working at Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since February 2005, taking over the business in January 2009.
Amy Loveless-Operator
Amy has her Level 2 Early Childhood Diploma and has been working with Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since March 2002.
Lisa Benson
Lisa has completed her Level 2 Early Childhood Education Diploma. Lisa has been working at Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since August of 2008. Prior to this Lisa had her own licensed day home.
Larae Ward
Larae has her Bachelor of Education from Memorial University and her Level 3 ECE. Larae has been working with Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since July 2011.
Sona Johal
Sona is originally from India, where she earned a Bachelor of Education. She has her Level 3 ECE. Sona has been working with Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since January 2015.
Mona Johal
Mona has her Bachelor of Education from India and has her Level 3 ECE. She brought with her three years of experience from another daycare center. She has been with Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since June 2015.
AJ Oyetayo
AJ originally comes from Africa and has her Bachelor of Education from Africa. She is currently working towards her Level 1 ECE. AJ has been working at Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool since 2017.
Sherri Madden-Kitchen
Sherri has worked for many years in the kitchen at a retirement facility and joined Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in February of 2021. She is currently on the waitlist with the College of the North Atlantic to get her Level 1 Early Childhood Education Certificate.
Renee Dustan
Renee has her Level 2 ECE, and she joined Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in March of 2021. Renee has brought with her many years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator.
Meenu Jagota
Meenu is a level 3 ECE that joined Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in April 2021. She brings many years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator.
Kirandeep Kaur
Kirandeep started at Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in May of 2021 and she is certified as a Level 1 ECE.
Courtney Hickey
Courtney started at Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in June of 2021 and she has just finished her AECENL preschool orientation course and is enrolled at the College of the North Atlantic to do the Early Childhood Program.
Tiffany Long
Tiffany started with Mes Amis Daycare & Preschool in September of 2021 and she has just started her preschool orientation course with AECENL and she is enrolled at the College of the North Atlantic to do the Early Childhood Program.
